My name is Derek Marshall. I am 80 years of age and so probably should know better!
...but I have decided to go back into business, even though in a very small way.

It all started two years ago when my wife and I went on a 14 day Eastern European coach trip. We were, of course, in a different hotel each night and so had to take all our possessions with us each day. The really big worry was how to carry quite a lot of money and two credit cards and keep them safe from pickpockets and muggers.

Many years ago I had devised a secret pocket to solve just this problem, so I dug it out once again and it worked perfectly and was an absolute Godsend.

Being driven round in a coach for 14 days must stimulate the brain cells and it certainly gives you lots of time for thinking.

I reasoned that what was useful for me must be useful to many others and so the business was born! (I must also admit that in retirement I missed the ‘buzz’ of business!).

So, in spite of my great age I became involved with Patent Attorneys, website designers, printers and manufacturers and now I am pleased to announce the launching of www.safetypocket.co.uk and that all profits from the sale of 'SafetyPockets' will be given to charity and good causes.
